It finally happened… almost 8 months later, police finally charged someone for Michael Jackson’s death yesterday.
The King of Pop’s personal doctor, Houston-based cardiologist Conrad Murray was officially charged with involuntary manslaughter for allegedly administering a lethal cocktail of painkillers and anesthetics to him hours before he died on June 25.
Some may argue it was Jackson’s own doing as he was claimed to have been a drug addict who was hooked up several drugs.
Other say someone has to be accountable for his death.
I say it was both.
But in the end, Murray was last man standing and knew the medical risks of giving Jackson what he wanted despite his demands.
This is really no different than a bartender giving a drunk more drinks everytime he/she asks for one cuz he/she’s liable for their safe passage home and can’t be giving them more alcohol…especially when they’re driving.
All I can say is what was Murray thinking that fateful day ?!
He would have known the dangers of the doses he was giving Jackson, putting his life at risk.
He should have had the balls to say no.
The sad thing is… if it didn’t happen June 25/09, it surely would have happened another time cuz addicts, drug, alcohol, sex, gambling, or whatever always find a means to the end.
Michael Jackson, despite the light he brought to the world with his music and generosity to charities lived a life of darkness and sooner than later, he would have met his end.
50 years old- a tragic life cut short.
Hope we all learn from it.
